Upon South Pass purchase, the holder acknowledges and accepts any and all terms and conditions stated herein, pursuant to the existing legal provisions and regulations.
The Pass is exclusively available for foreigners or Argentinean residents living in other countries. The Pass is non-transferable and valid upon presentation of passport or any other document of similar nature whatsoever. In case of Argentinean residents living in other countries, the residence card shall be valid.
Accompanied children under the age of 5 years old can travel free provided that no extra seat is occupied. It is mandatory to present a passport or any other document of similar nature, acknowledging identity.
If the passenger is unable to present a valid passport together with the Pass, the Company reserves the right to charge the regular ticket fare.
Refunds shall not be made on discounted fares due to unused days.
The Pass shall not entitle the passenger to board the bus. The Pass is not a bus ticket. To travel, the passenger must make a reservation in advance and pick up the ticket at the proper location.
The passenger shall pick up the ticket, board the bus or request refund for luggage loss or theft, upon presentation of passport or ID acknowledging his identity or country of residence, in case of Argentinean citizens residing in foreign countries.
The passenger shall comply with any and all existing laws in relation with the required documentation for travelers or taxes during the travel. The company shall not be liable for any and all incurred expense or inconvenience arising out of the non-fulfillment of said demands.
It is the passenger sole responsibility to comply with Customs, sanitary and Migrations provisions and existing laws whatsoever. The passenger shall be liable for the violation of said provisions and any resulting damage arising out of the unknown provisions.
Any and all ticket acquired through South Pass shall be valid for use pursuant to its period of validity, schedule, service category and destination. The service is subject to availability, according to schedules and destinations. The company shall not be liable for lack of availability, in which case the company shall offer the passenger the most convenient date, schedule and/or destination. South Pass shall be valid for a period of 180 days, from the purchase date to 00:00 hours of the expiration date.
The total amount of luggage entitlement per person is two pieces, including carry-on luggage (maximum of 40 x 40 x 25 cm) and a piece of luggage (maximum of 80 x 80 x 30 cm). The total amount of luggage shall not exceed 15kg, pursuant to ST 47/95 Resolution modified by 212/2002 Resolution. Passengers exceeding luggage weight allowance shall be charged with a luggage excess fee pursuant to the freight fees chart. All items shall be properly closed. Passengers shall not be requested to declare luggage items. Do not pack valuable items (cash, jewelry, documents, calculators, electronic equipment, etc.). Any and all luggage, including carry-on luggage, is the passenger sole responsibility, as the company shall not be liable for theft, loss or damage to any passenger's luggage. Any passenger willing to declare the value of the luggage should be referred to the Freight Department and relevant fees shall apply. The passenger is not allowed to carry any element that could threaten, in any way whatsoever, the safety of the passengers, the driver, or the bus.
Luggage claims should be reported indefectibly to the Company before leaving the terminal or final destination within 24 hours upon arrival. The passenger shall present the corresponding ticket or luggage tag (47/95 Resolution). In case of luggage damage or loss, the Company shall compensate and refund the passenger pursuant to country existing provisions, except for unforeseen operational circumstances and/or natural disasters.
The Company shall be liable for any cancellation or travel delay. The Company is entitled to transfer the transportation service to a third company in case of unforeseen operational or technical circumstances that prevent the Company from providing the service, in which case the Company shall provide the same service category and quality to passengers. This does not apply in case of unforeseen circumstances and natural disasters. The Company shall not be liable for any and all expense or damage resulting from departure and arrival delays or interruptions during the trip resulting from unforeseen circumstances and natural disasters. Likewise, any expense incurred by passengers as a result of route blockade or frontiers closure shall be borne solely by the passenger pursuant to section 188, Code of Commerce.
South Pass shall be cancelled and refundable exclusively by the independent travel agent that issued the Pass. In case of Passes purchased on our website or call center, the passenger must call 0800-555- BUSES (28797) from Argentina or 5411-4724-7878 from other countries. Any and all Pass cancelled within 30 days prior to the expiration date shall be refunded by 75%.
The Pass shall be activated and valid from the first ticket reservation made.
For ticket booking and confirmation, passengers shall call our toll-free number 0800-555-BUSES (28797) from Argentina or 5411-4724-7878 from other countries. The passenger must make a reservation in advance, and the proper location for ticket pickup shall be informed by one of our call center operators. Any forged or invalid Pass, or a Pass transferred to a third party shall be confiscated and the South Pass holder shall be charged with a penalty fee. The Company shall not be liable for any damage resulting from strike, delay, lost connection, theft or loss of undeclared luggage. Unused issued tickets shall be charged with a 10% penalty fee over the service fare.
Published fares are subject to modifications without prior notice, regardless currency exchange rate variations. Any and all refund is subject to a cancellation expense.
The Company reserves the right to admit passengers under the following:
- Improper behavior: disturbance, unpleasant noise, drug or alcohol intoxication, violation to safety standards, inappropriate behavior threatening the normal provision of the service, and any and all behavior violating the rights of passengers and the company employees.
- In case the passenger fails to comply with safety standards or ignores instructions given by the Company staff.
- In case the passenger refuses controls aimed at safeguarding passengers or luggage on board the bus, platforms, departure points, lounges whatsoever.
Waiver
- The Company reserves the right to modify its policy without prior notice.
- Fares, schedules, types of service and Pass information are subject to modifications without prior notice.
- The Company shall not be liable for any inconvenience, expense, damage, profit loss whatsoever, resulting from mistakes in schedules, bus unavailability or delays whatsoever.
- The service provided and transactions between passengers and South Pass are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Argentina.
- The Company reserves the right to modify the terms herein at any time. These terms shall be enforced upon publication on the website.
